Eighty-one days until the greatest night of the year the Met Gala. The first Monday in May is always long awaited by fashion designers, fashion lovers, and A-listers all around. Hosted at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City the Met Gala has been a tradition for 72 years. I am here to give you all the details we know SO FAR!

Theme!!
The biggest detail is the theme of this year which is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. The dress code for the guest is Garden of Time and I am excited to see how designers take this on. Within the MET there will be 250 pieces from the last four-hundred years of fashion. Each of the pieces will be separated into Land, Sea, and Sky. Andrew Bolton the curator for the Institute said "It is very much an ode to nature". Many floral gowns are expected to be seen. Throughout this season of fashion, many 3D flowers have been showcased and I believe that is something we will see at the Gala.
Host!
Just announced today the Met Gala hosts are Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Cris Hemsworth. When I found this out I audibly gasped with joy for Zendaya to be making her first appearance at the Met Gala since 2019 Camp: Notes on Fashion. With these four hosts, Anna Wintour the chief editor of Vogue will also be hosting the Gala.

Predictions!
Like many people, I have my predictions about what will happen on the Met Gala red carpet. For fashion, I believe that many designers will go either big and 3D with their looks or go flowy and goddess-like. Personally, I am excited to see what Schiaparelli achieves will be there and what designs they will have on that day. Out of all the fashion houses, I believe this is Schiaparelli's and Dior's moment. Now guest! The list is always held a secret until the night of but here are some people I am hoping will be in attendance.
Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie, Kim Kardashian with North West (I know I know no children at the MET but trust me), Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner a friendship we adore, Sabrina Carpenter, Anne Hathaway, Charles Melton, Jack Elordi and Cher.
My list goes on and on don't worry!! I am counting down each of those eighty-one days until the first Monday in May is upon us! <3 Lou Lou
