Edward Enninful Last British Vogue Cover

After six wonderful years editor-and-cheif Edward Enniful has finally published his last issue. The March 2024 British Vogue cover was one for the books and truly will always be remembered. His vision was simple, he wanted to dedicated the issue to women! He states that British Vogue was essentially dedicated to women for the past 109 years. So Edward, Steven Meisel, and Ned Rodgers came together to start working on how to create a memorable issue.

Edward called all the women he wished would be in this shoot for the cover of the March issue. He knew who he wanted and hoped that all forty women would somehow be able to all come to this shoot. Here's a little piece of what Edward said about the women he invited! "hey came. From London, New York, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles and beyond, they materialised as if from a dream. As dawn broke over Manhattan, a small army of technicians and creatives – actually it wasn’t a small army, I can’t write that with a straight face, it was enormous! – set up operations at Highline Stages in the Meatpacking District. When 8am rolled around the models, the movie icons, the musicians, the moguls, the sporting legends and media stars began to arrive. Mother and daughter Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford carpooled. Ditto Salma Hayek Pinault and Linda Evangelista, given Salma stayed at Linda’s house the night before. Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrussqueaked in by the skin of their popstar schedules. And everyone made sure things ran smoothly so Gigi Hadid could make it home on time to her toddler."

This is actually wild to me!! All these huge stars, models, singers, actors, and just over all super women came together for this one shoot. I can only imagine the conversations that happened on this day in December. My words could never do justice for this article and this shoot. I highly recommend to go read Edward's words from the British Vogue issue! <# Lou Lou
